Keto Mosquito Sugar-Free General Store and Riverwood Gallery & Studio are located in one of Allenford's original buildings. Built in 1874 to house the town's first general store, the landmark operated as such for 107 years. At one point there were eight general stores along Highway 21 between Southampton and Owen Sound, Harvey Plant's store in Allenford was the last in operation when it closed in 1982.
In early 2021 Keto Mosquito once again became the first and (so far) only general store on Highway 21.
